I need a little help

I'm tired, a little bit sick and just plain spent. What does this have to do with you? Nothing really. Just a lame attempt to explain why my rapid-fire updates on this blog have slowed down. I'm working on my NaNoWriMo novel, which is also stalled mostly due to lack of effort, and I'm having a really hard time coming up with things to blog about.

What I'm asking is that if you have any suggestions for topics, questions you want answered (and no, they don't have to relate to this blog, I'll wing it) or anything you think I could put up here to keep you all happy until my brain starts working well again, please let me know. I'll do my damnedest to oblige. And, I'm going to up the ante, if you give me a winner, I'll send you a present. No, I don't know what it is, but I promise I'll pick something you'll like.

So, there is my offer. Are you going to take me up on it? Leave me suggestions in the comments. If your profile doesn't have an email associated, or if you just want to email me instead of leaving a comment (though keep in mind, I lurve comments!) you can email me at

I'm a new reader, so forgive me if it's been done to death - but it says down the side bar there that you are doing up a house. How about a few before and after photos, or even just a few befores with commentary?

At this point there isn't much after unless you really like giant trenches dug around the house, but I will do something about the house...that's a great idea. It is a really cool project, just a really slow project.

I can sympathize, I posted my own request for blog fodder last week.

How about some of the things that make your neighborhood unique - crazy neighbors, great coffee shops, scenery, whatever. Feel free to borrow any of the ideas in my blog fodder post too :).

I'm interested in the marital dynamics between blogger and blogger's partner. What does Mr Dog think about all this blogging? Does he ever claim that he doesn't have any clean undies to wear because wifey is too busy blogging? Or does he do his own laundry? Or not care about clean undies? Probably the latter. It's Mike by the way, all the way from Melbourne. Love your blog! Makes me miss you and Mr Dog -- that weird combination of pain and pleasure.

In my family, I am the obnoxious one who will ask or say anything. What is your role in your family (the one you came from, not the one you've made)?

Also, in my obnoxiousness, I would like to ask if you have a favorite, and if you really think that's such a horrible thing to admit to (what if neither kid would EVER know you admitted to liking one better than the other?).
