I am neglecting the blog. I could list the excuses: I'm busy at work, I'm busy raising two kids, the kids have been sick, the house is a mess, I'm experiencing a bit of writers block, the few things I think of writing seem to require more cogitation before I get them just so, I'm knitting more, I'm reading more, I'm lazier than usual...but all of these just mean that I've not posted anything in more than a week. I have a post brewing, but it isn't done yet. I just didn't want you to think I'd forgotten about you or that I'd fallen into a deep dark depression and have given up on communicating with the world or that I'd lost both hands due to some kind of tragic thresher accident and was unable to type. Ok, that last one was a bit of a stretch, but you get the idea.
So, since I've left you in the lurch I'm posting this picture. I snapped it while we were in Colorado. Something about it lifts my heart. Something in Little Dog's total abandon and Big Dog's shielding his eyes from the bright winter sun grinning his sardonic grin makes me feel full of potential and inspiration. And it makes me giggle because it so accurately captures their spirits. I hope you enjoy it too.
(for the record, I got a new fancy camera for Christmas, so you'll be seeing a lot, and I mean A LOT more photos moving forward)

What a trail ahead of you and spouse with these two firecrackers of personality. Savor it.
Lynda, Don't I know it. They keep me jumping. And I love them soooooo much.
So adorable! Little dog looks like he's getting ready to boogie! I've missed your posts. Good luck with the camera. I've found that posting a picture with my posts gives me at least an excuse to write a few words, sometimes more! Thanks also for your kind words about my ex-husband and his uh girlfriend's baby... you're very sweet, and it did help. You are right. Thanks for helping me see that.
