One afternoon as the cranky little man was running through the kitchen, grandma asked if he wanted to take a little nap. He paused, looked up at her as though considering the idea and says "Uh, no!" cracks a wicked grin and runs off. It was so cute, it was hard not to laugh. He's really good at that fine balance of adorable and naughty.

Letting us down easy
Over Christmas, we spent time with my family in
Portland, OR. New settings usually set the scene for wild behavior. Little Dog was in especially high spirits. He was running haphazardly through the kitchen, he was jumping, shouting and throwing things. Once the toys arrived, he was instigating property battles with his brother. And the cookies and sweets, well we can soundly say he loves them.
