Due to the current economic conditions, my company is trying to get employees to take their saved up vacation time. How do they do this? By having a shut down. That's right, a shutdown. So essentially for the first time since I was in college (many many years ago...sigh) I am on spring break.
However, unlike my past spring breaks, this does not involve sleeping until noon then watching TV all day. I'm a parent now. That kind of stuff is gone for good, isn't it. Instead, I've packed up the boys and we're spending the week at grandma and grandpa's house. We'll be hitting the zoo, OMSI and maybe the Children's Museum. Mom and dad have offered to watch the kids so I can have a day off. Not that this day off will be thrill-filled, my plan is to finish writing the reviews of my team I've been unable to complete at work. Woo hoo, my vacation paperwork.
Are you jealous? Yeah, me neither.

You should skip the paperwork. Go shopping instead. Or get a pedicure.
You deserve a break! Have fun!
