In addition to the presidential race, I'll be keeping tabs on California's Proposition 8, a hideous piece of legislation that would make California the first state to overturn a State Supreme Court decision allowing same sex marriage. I'm hoping it fails because I'd hate to see the state I love cling on to this vestige of bigotry.
Tonight, I'm hoping they'll be calling the election early, because I don't know how much of this stress I can take. I'm already exhausted. If you haven't done so already, please go vote. I'd like to be able to say I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote, but this time we have too much to loose. So vote wisely. Vote Obama. Vote No on 8.

I am going to an election party where the drinks will be flowing, the kids will be playing and we will be glued to the tv. This is a very special election.
I've decided tonight we're drinking Blue Hawaiians. Get it? We have to win. I'm freaking out.
I'm dying. The husb is coming home at 4 so that we can go vote together and I have no way to fill all of this time! Well, actually I did ... it's called Guitar Hero and if anything requires your full attention, that is it! But now I'm back to waiting impatiently ...
It's 8:30 PST, we've achieved one victory...let's hope we can make it two for the night.
I am amazed at the world-wide attention Prop 8 got. I just wish there had been a little more attention to NOT passing it.
