You sweet talker

I took the boys to Starbucks to get a snack today. It was part of a trip to Target so I wasn't particularly dressed up, but maybe I looked better than I thought. When I sat down with the boys to enjoy our little treat I saw this written on the cup:

That's right. MILF. I've seen them write my name on the cup before to keep the order together, but this? Wow. I don't really think of myself that way, but still. Either the guy at the counter was hitting on me, or he can't spell. Ok, the second one is far more likely, but makes a much less amusing story, right?

You have questions? I have answers. Well, kind of.

Someone arrived at my blog after googling "Is a clothing optional household a good idea?" I'm no expert on this topic. Still, I think they were looking for answers. And being the kind and loving person I am, I'll take a stab at it.

From my perspective it all comes down to one thing, how much deep frying do you do? A lot, then not a good idea. Otherwise, hell, why not? Unless you're asking about my house.

Words that sound funny coming from Mr. Dog

For some reason when my big strong husband says certain words, I smirk. They just sound odd coming out of his mouth. For your amusement, and honestly for mine, here are the two words that have made me snicker inside when spoken by my lovely husband:

1. Smock
2. Gladiola

Ok, maybe I have a problem. But seriously, I giggle.

Am I a freak, or do you have certain words that are silly when voiced by your beloved? Please share.

Interesting little experiment

Want to shock yourself speechless? Ok, here's what you do.
Take 400 milligrams of Riboflavin first think in the morning (I take it to prevent migraines. Seems to be working too. Cool, no?)
At lunch eat a big beet salad. Lots and lots of red beets are key here, sure the blue cheese and vinaigrette are nice, but the beets are the important ingredient.

When you take your afternoon potty break you'll know what I mean.

Pregnancy and childbirth terms that sound like band names

Bloody Show
Incompetent cervix
Cerclage
False Labor
Effacement
Glucose Screen
Third degree tear
Mucus plug
Hyperemesis
Placenta previa
Two Vessel Cord
Ruptured Membranes
Episiotomy

Imagine some of the show bills, Tonight Only: Incompetent Cervix playing with Cerclage! Or Ruptured Membranes with opening act Mucus Plug!
Maybe I think about this too much. Still, what else ya got?
